Man dead after suspected stabbing in Hamilton, Newcastle

 A man has died following a suspected stabbing in Hamilton, a suburb of Newcastle, NSW. Emergency services were called to Beaumont Street around 11:30 PM last night after reports of a violent altercation. Upon arrival, police found a man in his 30s with serious stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene has been established, and detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the altercation or has relevant information to come forward.

Beaumont Street, known for its bustling nightlife and dining precinct, was cordoned off as forensic teams examined the area. Residents expressed shock and concern over the tragedy, with one local stating, "This is usually such a lively and safe area. It's heartbreaking to hear something like this has happened."

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments and appealing for public assistance to identify those involved in the incident. No arrests have been made at this stage
