Family of heroic kindergarten teacher Eleanor Bryant, who died saving preschoolers from out-of-control water tanker, speak out

The family of Eleanor Bryant, the kindergarten teacher who lost her life saving her students from a runaway water tanker, has shared their heartbreak and pride in her heroism. Eleanor, known to her loved ones as Ellie, acted selflessly when the tanker veered off course, moving her young students out of harm's way but tragically losing her own life in the process.

Her family described Eleanor as a devoted teacher who cared deeply for her students, always putting their safety and well-being first. "She was an angel in every sense of the word," said her mother, adding that Eleanor’s brave actions were a reflection of her character. "She didn’t hesitate. She was always thinking of others before herself."

Friends and parents of children in her class have also expressed their condolences, with many calling her a true hero and thanking her for the lasting impact she made. Eleanor’s school has planned a tribute to honor her dedication and bravery, while her family continues to find comfort in the countless lives she touched and protected.
